This Persian Qashqai is woven on a wonderful red field that hosts a layered diamond medallion system — an ivory-ground central lozenge filled with hooked scrolls and a dark navy centre, set within a larger stepped red diamond scattered with stylised birds, animals, cypress trees, eight-pointed stars, and geometric filler motifs in turquoise, gold, olive, teal, and ivory.
The deep navy ground corner sections and main field are packed with the same eclectic tribal vocabulary — shields, hooked forms, small animal figures, and geometric rosettes — all rendered with the spontaneous irregularity that distinguishes genuine Qashqai nomadic work from urban production.
The wide outer border carries a bold stepped chevron pattern in gold and ivory, finished with short white fringe at each end, and the fine flat back confirms a tightly hand-knotted structure.
