The look of an authentic antique is achieved in this superb piece that seems to reflect the patination of the ages. Its inspiration comes from a 17th Century Polonaise, a design of Polish origin woven at a workshop of the Persian court. It presents a marvelous artist's conception of sinuous vines that form flowing, flower-laden arabesques. While the design is abundant and fecund, the lush florals are elegantly subdued by the delicate palette of soft ivory, golden beige and opalescent shades of light sky blue.
